The company was founded in 1937 by Kiichiro Toyoda as a spinoff from his father (Sakichi Toyoda)'s company Toyota Industries to create automobiles. In 1934, while still a department of Toyota Industries, it created its first product Type A engine and its first passenger car (the Toyota AA) in 1936. It is headquartered in the Japanese cities of Toyota and Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture and in Tokyo. It also provides financial services through its division Toyota Financial Services and also creates robots besides automobiles. It plans to produce 9.95 and sell 9.85 million vehicles in 2008 setting an industry record if it happens[10].
On 8 January 2008, the company dropped "Motor" from its corporate name, calling itself simply "Toyota Corporation" (株式会社豊田 Kabushiki-gaisha Toyota) from "Toyota Motor Corporation." Also, Toyota changed the Japanese writing of its brand name from Katakana to Kanji and "Corporation" has moved from the end to the beginning.
Doraemon is the robot cat sent back in time by Sewashi to aid Nobita. Doraemon originally had ears but they were bitten off by a robot mouse back in the 22nd century. As a result, he developed a morbid fear of mice, despite being a robotic cat. He also has the tendency to panic during emergencies, characterized by him frantically trying to pull out a very much-needed tool from his pocket (this 4-dimensional pocket is probably the best form of hammerspace), only to produce a huge assortment of unrelated household items.
Doraemon tenia originalmente orejas, lo que pasa que se las mordio un raton. Yo la verdad no tenia ni idea, hasta que vi este munyequito. Vaya vaya...
